Cambridge Locator CAM, 29 June 2005 / 2 July 2004

Going west over the A14 take the exit to the A1303, towards Cambridge. Follow this road until you pass the runway (traffic lights).
We used the grass at the airport side of the road to park our car. That's easy to do if you use the emergency entrance road to go on the grass. It looks as if this place is used by airoplane spotters, everybody reacted as if they were used to see cars on this spot. You will find the Locator beacon behind the fence near a building.

When I (WvB) visited England I had not much experience with beacons. So seeing this antenna I couldn't believe it was the locator. Only my receiver said it must be.
With a little bit of luck you can see on this spot the cars waiting at the traffic lights, waiting for an aeroplane coming from or going to the airfield.
