Lydd NDB LYX, 8 July 2005.

There is a road from Littlestone-on-Sea going south to Lydd-on-Sea. At Greatstone-on-Sea is a road that seems to go back north. The last part of this road is a dead end. Behind the houses on the LHS runs - invisible for you - the Romney, Hythe & Dimchurch Railway. Behind the railway are the Romney Salts and Lydd Airport. At about two thirds of the road the beacon is visible above the houses. Unluckily we didn’t find a route to get nearer to the beacon
And because of the bombings in London the day before we thought it not wise to try to take pictures from private property.

RH&D Railway
The trains run daily following a timetable. Don’t try to get near the beacon over the railway track. You bring yourself and the train in danger when walking on the track.
