Compiegne VOR/DME CPE, 20 July 2007
The Aerad book stated that near to the airport of Compiegne a Locator beacon exist.
So Wim was very surprised when he saw a VOR/DME.
Luckily, just outside a military airfield.
So let’s be quickly at the job, taking photos

After that we took a visit at the flying school.
They did know that the Locator CO had disappeared and that the same soon would happen with the VOR/DME.
Even the helicopter airport was closed that spring.
You will find the airport by taking the exit to Margny-les-Compiegne at the N1031.
Go left – the road turns under the N1031 en take the turn right after driving about 2km.
Direct after passing the helicopter base there is a road to the right direction beacon.
