NDB ING - St.Inglevert 29 May 2006

This beacon is often heard at the Netherlands, a good reason to put it on our beacon list for our 2006 beacon hunt.

From Calais we came by A16/E40 to the south and took exit 39 (Peuplingues D243). Nearly direct after coming on the D243 we turned left onto the D244-E1, a road that’s turns along the motorway and runs parallel with it to the south. Just before St.Inglevert you see the beacon at the RHS on a hill. There is a narrow road leading up the hill just at the right spot.

At the hill near this beacon you have a good view direction Calais with behind it the English Channel. Not far from St.Inglevert you find Cap Griz-Nez with a magnificent vieuw over The Channel. With good weather you can see lots of the English coastline!
