Bordeaux - St.Girons Locator NB, 22 July 2007.

This beacon is not far located from the little town of Blaye. Its location is at St. Girons d’Aiguevives. Take at Blaye the D22 and drive on for ca. 8 km. Turn left to St. Girons. At St. Girons you follow the road at first straight on (just a small right/left movement), and after passing the church keep left. After a short while there is a road to the left leading to one of the wineries in this region. Opposite the building is a road going to the left and leading into the grapevines. At the RHS of this road you find the beacon.

When you are in this region, take your time to visit the town of Blaye. There is a big Citadel in Blaye to visit. It is build to protect the village against the Dutch.
In case you are on a camping trip, the “camping municipal” is in the centre of the citadel.
