NDB ORG, Orange (Caritat), January 25, 2006

The NDB ORG stand on the airbase Caritat near to Orange. At Orange take the D975 to Camaret-s-Aigues. After you have passed the runway lighting go left after the first house. Beware, it is a narrow road and it is not visible until you are very near to it. When the tarmac road bents to the left you go straight on along the fence and follow it for 200 metre. That is the spot where the first photo is taken. Wim had the use of a GPS system to find this spot because it was difficult to find between the trees and the other antennas.

There is also a road just before the runway lights. Follow that with all its turns and you come along a vineyard at the LHS after which you can see the three masts. In this vineyard we made the second picture.

Orange is a very old town and the name of the Dutch royal hose comes from here. There is a ruin of a castle – once owned by William of Orange – on the hill behind the Roman amphitheatre. The village has lots of interesting places to visit.
