In 2006 we took a search for the Perronne beacon.
There was a drizzle and it was nearly sunset.
We could not find the beacon, even with use of a GPS.
Wim took a chance with a navigator system in 2007 and with some difficulties he found the beacon.
The beacon is to find west of Vermand.
Coming from Perronne airfield along the N29 at the border of Vermand, you will cross the D121.
Go to the right into Vermand , this is the Rue de la Chapelle.
Soon there is a crossing with left a grass patch in a triangle form.
Beware! Here there is a road to the right, leading to the local churchyard.
Take this road en keep following it along it windings.
The beacon is at the LHS of this road.
