Rodez - Marcillac, Locator ROM, August 8, 2008

This beacon is located ca. 12 km from the east end of the runway of Rodez airfield, just southeast of Rodez. This beacon was also not exactly at the spot where the navigation system said. But after his experience with the RZ beacon Wim took the right direction, uphill.

Route from Rodez Airfield to ROM, ca. 16.4 km – 22 min.
At the exit of the airfield, at the roundabout, take the first exit onto the D840 direction Rodez. Go straight on over two roundabouts and after 8.3 km turn to the right onto the D84/Avenue de Saint Pierre. After 800 metres you turn left onto the D67/D84/Route de Moyrazès, after 400 metres turn right onto the D84. Go straight on at one roundabout, and follow the D84 for 2.9 km. Turn right onto the D12/Neuf, go straight over one roundabout. After 3.4 km turn right onto the D569 and after 400 metres turn left – gravel road – and after ca. 250 metres you see ROM at the RHS.
