In the past there were beacons on the Frisian Islands.
Those beacons were mostly in use for the shipping traffic.
Near the lighthouse at Cocksdorp (Texel) you can find beacon ER.
It looks very different from the usual Dutch NDB’s.
The two tall antenna masts form the beacon.
Tourist information:
The beacon has disappeared, but the lighthouse is stil there and you can visit it.
