You will find Nieuwstad just north of Sittard at the German border. South-east of Nieuwstad you will find the German village Millen. There is a cycle path from Millen to Sittard. This path runs just before Sittard along the Geleenbeek. A few metres after this path crossed the German border (back into the Netherlands), you will find the beacon on the RHS along this brook.

We had been told that this beacon was near the German border along a brook. But without a good direction sensitive antenna we couldn’t find this beacon that is positioned in a lot of bushes. On several earlier occasions we had asked passers-by for information on the location of beacons with good result. So we did the same here. At first nobody knew. Then we found a moped driver on a bench who had a rest and a beer. When we told him what we were looking for he said that he knew where to find this beacon, but it was difficult to explain. But don’t worry, as soon as he had finished his beer we could follow him. And so we came with our guide to the beacon.
