Assendelft Locator, 1 October 2005.

Follow the A8 from Amsterdam to the north. A few kilometres after passing Koog aan de Zaan this road changes into the N246. Follow the N246 to the south until it has crossed the bridge at Westzaan. As soon as it has crossed this bridge you turn to the right towards Assendelft. Where the first houses of Assendelft are on the left, there is a cycle path with a bridge. Use the parking place area on this spot and walk over the bridge, then take the path that goes west. After you have passed the Scouting terrain (left) you can see the beacon behind the row of trees.

We made a day trip in 2005 to make some new pictures of this beacon and to record its signal.
