IJsselmonde NDB ROT, autumn 2002.

To find this beacon was a kind of a puzzle. South of the ‘van Brienenoordbrug’ (bridge) at Rotterdam we took the exit signed IJsselmonde. When we came there, there were road works around this crossing. Follow the road signs for IJselmonde. Go, if possible, after you have passed the A16 viaduct “straight on” into ‘van Hoochstratenweg’ . After a crossing the road is renamed Roelandweg and just before Roelandweg bends to the right you will find Tristanweg on the left and opposite that Cantecleerpad. At the end of Cantecleerpad you will find the beacon in the bushes.

As said, to find this beacon was a puzzle. On the pictures you can see that there are a lot of bushes around this beacon and those bushes made it almost invisible. And some roads in this area are not open for cars.
