Haastrecht NDB RR, 1987

Haastrecht is located east of Gouda along the river Hollandsche IJssel. If you follow the north IJsseldijk from Gouda to the east then after a few kilometres you will see Haastrecht on your RHS. After about 400 metre you will find a farmhouse called Tempelhof on your LHS. Behind this farmhouse stands the beacon.
The first time we visited this beacon - 1987 - we used wellingtons and walked through the mud at the farm grounds to the beacon like official inspectors and made the first photo. At the background a big thunderstorm that luckily for us waited with raining until we were back in our car.

Since then the farm buildings are cleaned and expanded. On 31 August 2005 there was no sign of mud on the farm grounds, there was just clean tarmac. If you want to walk across the farm ground to the beacon it is better to ask permission at the house.
