Back to beacon list.

Rotterdam DVOR/DME RTM, 5 May 2006.

This beacon is located about two kilometres from the east end of the runway of airport Zestienhoven. For Wim this is about an hour cycling. So he went there to make some pictures for my collection. This beacon is also easy to reach by car.

2021 - To visit this beacon, goto the village of Berkel en Roderijs and use a GPS with the coördinates.
The routes below doesn't exist nowadays.

From the A13 Rotterdam - Den Haag:
Take exit 11 towards Zestienhoven airport. Go on the N209 towards Bleiswijk. This N209 runs parallel to the runway. After you have passed the end of runway you go over a railway viaduct. A kilometre further on at crossroads turn to the left signed “Schiebroek industrial estate” and the beacon is in front of you.

From the A12 Utrecht - Den Haag:
Take exit 8 towards Bleiswijk. You will turn onto the N209. You will pass Bleiswijk and Bergschenhoek. A kilometre after you have passed Bergschenhoek at crossroads turn to the right signed “Schiebroek industrial estate”- see photo – and the beacon is in front of you.

September 2021

I passed RTM on my way to Wim - the webmaster. Noticed it was a new VOR and made quick a photo with my phone. Quick because there is a stopping prohibition along this road. Wim decided to by bike to RTM to take some pictures.
Wim: "RTM is about 18 miles as the crow flies. By bike some miles more. Lots of roads have been changed after 2006 and therefore it took me some time extra to find the beacon.
