Amsterdam-Schiphol DVOR SPL, 24 March 2007

Route from AMS to SPL, 11.0 km – about 12 min.

Go back over the road leading to AMS and turn right onto IJweg. Turn left onto Vijfhuizerweg. After 1 km turn right onto the N205 Drie Merenweg. Follow for 3 km and turn right onto the N232/Schipholweg, (signed for Boesingheliede/Lijnden/N232). At the roundabout go straight on. After 4 km turn right onto Hoofdweg/N520. Follow for 1.2 km and turn left onto Tweeduizend Ei.

Opposite SPL there are some other antennas. We had no idea what purpose those antennas have. But in November 2010 we have been told they are part of the Schiphol airport receiving station. (With our thanks to MvE for sending us this info.)
