Blois. The beacon is located at the airfield Le Breuil with light aircrafts and gliders. It did look a lot like a camping to. Lots of different languishes where spoken at this place. The beacon was at the other side of one of the runway, so the telephoto lens came again handy.
Route from the Loire Bridge at Blois (D174) to BLB, ca 17 km – 20 min.
Start at the Loire Bridge (D174) in direction north to the Avenue de Verdun/N152, follow this road for 0.7 km.
Go on at the Boulevard des Cités Unies/N252, go straight on at one roundabout.
After 2 km at the ‘Round-Point Robert Nau’ you take the 2nd exit to the D200 direction Vendôme/Blois-Nord/Le Mans/Fossé.
After 2.5 km you take at the roundabout the 1st exit to the D957/Route de Vendôme,
follow the D957 7.5 km on which you go straight over 5 roundabouts.
Take at the 6th roundabout the 3rd exit to stay at the D957 (bypass) en follow the bypass for 1.2 km.
Here you turn left onto the D26. After 1.2 km turn right.
Follow this road onto the airfield where it turns to the left.
At the point where the road is blocked you can see at the RHS the beacon at the other side of the runway.
