Bottrop NDB BOT, 5 June 2008.

This is a beautiful beacon. The antenna is located between the houses of Gelsenkirchen-Scholven. It is placed upon a big monstrous bunker. We spoke with some of the people living in the neighbourhood who told us that their cell phones worked less well since the beacon was put in operation.

Start at Münster in southerly direction via the A52. Take exit 43 to Gelsenkirchen-Scholven. Keep right at the crossing and follow the signs to GE-Scholven. After 45 m go right at Feldhauser Straße/K3. After 200 m there is a slight turn to the left onto Emmericher Straße/K3. After 32 m go left onto Bülsestraße/K3 and stay on this road for 300 m. Go right onto Meinberger Straße.
The beacon can be found on the bunker placed at the corner of Bülsestraße/K3 and Meinberger Straße.
